In 2001, I had nightmares worse than any I ever experienced before or since. They started mild, but soon I was staying up until dawn to avoid closing my eyes to the dark, and curling my feet under me to avoid putting them into the shadows beneath the desk. And then, I just tried to not sleep.
Writing them down helped me pin the dreams to paper and take away the sense of overwhelming and overarching fear. Sharing them with friends willing to offer interpretations and to question details helped me figure out what the dreams were really about, and what my sleeping mind was trying to tell me.
My dreams before 2001 were not unexciting--I had my share of strange mental adventures, of precognitive moments and synchronicities--but I'd only dabbled with writing them out. After seeing the good it did me, I decided to make a more serious effort.
And so, Into Edom! Questions, advice and interpretations are welcome--I hope you enjoy my groggy brain as much as I do!
