mokie_edomI dreamt that a co-worker had a controlling bastard for an ex-boyfriend, and he was trying to hunt her through me. He kidnapped me and held me captive to prevent me from warning her or going to the authorities. When he finally caught her too, he turned me into their maid. I remember vividly her pulling her feet beneath her on the couch as I vacuumed the rug, and her pouting like a spoiled child over being kidnapped while I fretted a bit more seriously about, y'know, being kidnapped.
Later I escaped and ran to a hospital to seek help, but one of the nurses wanted to give me an injection. I was wary, and she attacked me with the syringe, yelling that I would not do him any harm--revealing that the staff was, in fact, in cahoots with this man. She was so overblown in her villainy, however, that I feel I was probably woken up briefly at some point between the captive and the hospital parts of the dream.
Though none of my co-workers have talked to me about abusive ex-boyfriends, I think this dream overall hints that I know way, way too much about my co-workers' love lives.
Also, the house in which my co-worker and I were held captive was the house in which I shacked up with
Mark. I don't think that is significant except in its isolation from the here and now.
